Kellen Lynch
Housing Solutions Network

The Club has returned to regular Thursday meetings at noon at the Old Alcohol Plant Restaurant at 310 Hadlock Bay Road, Port Hadlock WA. Guests are welcomed!

This Week's Meeting, October 14th. Kellen Lynch of the Housing Solutions Network. Jefferson County is the third most unaffordable county in Washington State (following San Juan and King County, and tied with Clallam County). The lack of housing is a major barrier to economic development throughout the County. Employers, including the City and County, are losing employees due to housing insecurity. 47% of Jefferson County renters are cost-burdened, paying more than 30% of their income on rent. Rental vacancy rates hover between 0-1% (the national average is around 7%), so that even those with stable incomes simply cannot find available housing. Our speaker, Kellen Lynch, will outline the role of the Housing Solutions Network in attempting to resolve some of these pressing issues.
