The Rotary Foundation transforms our gifts into projects that change lives both close to home and around the world. As the charitable arm of Rotary, the Foundation taps into a global network of Rotarians who invest their time, money, and expertise into our priorities, such as eradicating polio and promoting peace. Rotarians provide the majority of contributions to The Rotary Foundation to fund Rotary programs, 92 percent of which go to program awards and operations.

The Rotary Foundation does not spend money to make money. Donations are invested for three years and then disbursed to programs and grants. A portion of the interest income pays for promoting and managing the Foundation. In fact, 92 percent of the donations go to program awards and operations.

Strong financial oversight, a stellar charity rating (Charity Navigator’s highest 4-star rating 13 years in a row), and a unique funding model mean that the Foundation makes the very most of our contributions.

A contribution to the Foundation is the best investment Rotarians can make as it goes to Rotary programs that change lives for the better locally and all around the world.

Through our Foundation, Rotary members have led the fight to eradicate polio, and have supported tens of thousands of projects to provide clean water, fight disease, promote peace, provide basic education, grow local economies, and help the environment.

Our Club focuses on donations to The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund during the month of November, and since our founding in 1982, has recommended each member donate $120 each year to the Annual Fund. Your donations matter! For more information, contact Foundation Committee Chair John Erickson, or any member of the committee.
