Cycle Marrowstone is a group ride on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula across Indian and Marrowstone Islands. This fun and family friendly event will take place on Sunday, August 25th, 2019. Here’s the website: http://www.cyclemarrowstone.com/

Cycle Marrowstone is meant to be whatever you make of it. Do it for fun; do it to challenge your personal best. Whatever your intent, you'll be glad you came! We encourage professionals, amateurs, recreational riders, clubs and cycling teams to participate.

All rides start and finish at HJ Carroll County Park, located on Washington State Highway 19, eight-tenths of a mile north of the little crossroads of Chimacum, on the Olympic Peninsula’s east side, and just under ten miles north of the intersection of Washington State Highways 104 and 19, a few miles west of the Hood Canal Bridge.

 The ride features three different tour lengths to accommodate all riding levels:

  • A 47-mile journey featuring a ride through bucolic Beaver Valley farm land on quiet country roads and out onto Indian and Marrowstone Islands to Fort Flagler State Park at the north tip of Marrowstone Island;

  • A 27-mile ride across Indian and Marrowstone Islands to Fort Flagler State Park.

  • A 16-mile jaunt that’ll take riders across Indian and portions of Marrowstone Island.

The H.J. Carroll County Park parking lot will open at 7am, and packet pickup will begin at 7:30am. Riders will be released for their rides at 9am. Sweeper vehicles (“sag wagons”) will leave at 9:30am and follow each ride.

The ride will be supported by rest stops, mechanics, and medics. Lunch will be included at no additional cost to registered riders. We’ll also have a small vendor village as well open from 8am to 3pm.

Register now for fifty dollars, or the day of the ride for sixty dollars.  Register here: https://endurancecui.active.com/new/events/62346154/forms?_p=3248581146230618

The Rotary Club of East Jefferson County is proud to sponsor this ride for the betterment and enjoyment of our communities. We’ll use all funds raised to further our ongoing local charitable work.

Rotary is where neighbors, friends, and problem-solvers share ideas, join leaders, and take action to create solutions to challenging problems. Rotarians come from all walks of life.  We are friendly, intensely community-minded, engaged locally and globally, and pointedly non-political. We work together and with other interested groups and members of the community to effect positive and lasting change locally and globally.
