When I joined the International Fellowship of Cricket Loving Rotarians (IFCR), my entire Rotary experience changed. The way it has connected me with others from across the Rotary world has been phenomenal.

After joining Rotary in 2003-04, I chanced upon the International Fellowship of Cricket Loving Rotarians while browsing the Rotary website. I was inspired to start a chapter in my District 3150 in India, which I eventually did in 2005-06.

In 2005-06, our district’s cricket team met with a team from Great Britain & Ireland in Chennai, while they were touring India. In 2007, I led a team of Cricket Loving Rotarians from my district to the Fellowship’s 5th World Cricket Festival in Sri Lanka. Since then, I have taken teams to Nepal and helped launch a local chapter there, participated in the Fellowship’s 6th World Cricket Festival in South Africa, helped host the 7th World Cricket Festival in India, helped establish local chapters in Bangladesh and Greece, and eventually took over as country head of IFCR India during the 8th World Festival in England. One of my most memorable moments has been playing a cricket game with fellow Rotary members in the famous Queen Park's Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad, West Indies.

Between 2014 and 2017, I traveled as country head to various parts of India to promote the fellowship and increased the number of affiliated districts from 8 to 20, thereby boosting membership in India to over 1,000. Later, I became IFCR World Secretary and eventually IFCR World Chair, the crowning moment of my cherished journey in this wonderful Rotary Fellowship.

These unforgettable experiences have connected me to hundreds of friends across the Rotary world, and I’m still making new ones with each passing year of my association with this fellowship.
