The Rotary Club of East Jefferson County recognizes two Students of the Month chosen by the teachers at Chimacum High School. The students and their parents are honored by the Rotary Club of East Jefferson County at the Club's weekly luncheon meeting. The Club has supported this program for well over thirty years, nearly since its founding, as a way to recognize outstanding young people in our communities.

The Superintendent of Chimacum Schools or the Chimacum High School Principal introduces each student to the Rotarians and guests at the meeting and summarizes why the students were selected.

Students introduce their parents and guests and describe their academic and sports activities as well as the community activities in which they’re engaged and describe their plans for the future.  Students give a short talk about their school activities, community projects, senior projects and what they plan for the future.

The Club President recognizes each student honored with lunch, a certificate, and a $15 gift certificate from Ferino's Pizzeria.
